The curry spudnut came to be, because of my love of takeaway curry chips. These hot, fried spuds dipped in a warming curry sauce (likely McDonnells) are perfect on a cold and rainy Irish day. This recipe is a New Jersey-ized version of that treat. A sweetened potato dough, deep fried, and dipped in a slightly spicy, but very sweet curry icing. Perfect for a hot morning on a sunny summer day in South Jersey. Our icing is made with a splash of apple cider, a blend of Jamaican and Indian curry spices, and a whole lot of powdered sugar.Buttermilk donuts with Chocolate/Vanilla Icing/Cinnamon Sugar
